The client required a pool that was easily accessible due to health issues, ensuring it was warm and close to the house for convenience. The pool needed to be simple to use and maintain for daily use. Given the available space in the garden, the client envisioned a moderately sized pool that balanced practicality and comfort.
To meet the client’s requirements, we first invited them to review some of our previous projects to gather ideas and preferences. Based on their needs and the ample garden space, we agreed on an 8m x 4m pool with a constant depth for ease of use.
We focused on enhancing accessibility and visibility by selecting corner steps lined to match the pool with anti-slip treads. A handrail was installed to facilitate safe entry and exit from the pool. To maintain a comfortable and consistent water temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, we installed an efficient inverter air source heat pump, which is cost-effective when used in conjunction with an insulated pool structure.
Throughout the project, we collaborated closely with the client to refine and finalise the design, ensuring their vision was fully realised. We enhanced the pool’s ambiance with colour-changing RGBW LED lighting.
For safety, especially when grandchildren are around, a polycarbonate cover was added. This cover is electronically controlled by a single push button, making it easy to use. Additionally, we installed a fully automated salt water chlorination system in conjunction with a UV system, providing softer water and a more pleasant bathing experience due to the constant low residual chlorine level.
Through careful planning and collaboration with the client, we delivered a pool that perfectly met their accessibility, maintenance, and comfort needs, enhancing their daily quality of life.
